That’s one of many social networking mottos when you look at the youth campaign within the Netherlands that seeks to criminalise areas of sex work.

The grassroots work has collected over 46,000 general public signatures over an extended seven years, finally prompting parliamentary debate, states Sara Lous. She works on the campaign, to create “Ik ben onbetaalbaar” – or “I am priceless” in Dutch.

It aims to replace the current guidelines in order that they follow what’s called the “Nordic model,” by which male customers who hire prostitutes might be fined, in a make an effort to reduce physical physical violence resistant to the working females. At this time, paid sex between two adults that are consenting the Netherlands was appropriate since 1971.

But Lous believes that’s outdated in the #MeToo period, in spite of how sexually liberating or symbolic the Red Light District is: “This is certainly not out of this time anymore.”
